Configuring the Email Informer for OpenCart

  • Installing the “NeoSeo Email Informer” module

To install the module“NeoSeo Email Informer” for OpenCart required:

  1. Go to the site administration panel and select the “Add-ons”->”Modules”:
  2. In the opened list of modules select “NeoSeo Email Informer” and click “Install”:
  3. Go to “Add-ons”->”Add-ons Manager” and click on the “Update” button in the window that opens.

This completes the installation of the module and you can proceed to editing the module settings.

  1. Edit module settings

To edit module settings, go to the site's admin panel and select the “Add-ons”->”Modules” section. In the list of modules that opens, select “NeoSeo Email Informer” and click on the “Edit”:

After that, a window for editing module settings will appear on the screen:

The “General” tab is used to configure the following settings:

  • Enable/disable the module. In order to connect the module to the store, in the “Status” field, select “Enabled”:
  • Recipients of admin messages. This field is used to enter email addresses of order notification recipients:

If you need to send email notifications to multiple recipients, enter their email addresses separated by commas.

The “Email templates” tab is designed to set email notification templates for each order status:

This system defines 7 order statuses for which you can set up email notifications: new, being processed, sent by new mail, sent by Ukrposhta, sent by courier, awaiting pickup, order completed.

For order status “New” it is possible to set the following parameters:

  • Email subject. This module offers to set the subject line for the client in all languages ​​of the store (in the example, English, Russian and Ukrainian):

If “Disabled” is selected, the email will not be sent.

If “Enabled” is selected, the email will be sent if the notify customer checkbox is selected. In order to put it, you need to select the section “Sales”->”Orders”->“Order Overview” in the administrative panel of the site and check the box next to the field “ Notify Buyer”:

If you select “Force”, the email will always be sent.

  • Letter template. This field is used to select a letter template that will be sent to the administrator and client.    

For order status “New”, the module provides the following templates:

“new_en” - letter template for a client in English;

“new__ru” - letter template for a client in Russian;

“1new” - the second version of the letter template for the client in Russian;

“new__uk” - letter template for a client in Ukrainian;

“new__admin” - email template for administrator.
