Setting up the Blog for OpenCart

1. General concepts and module settings

In order to go to the general settings of the “NeoSeo Blog” module, go to the Modules/ NeoSeo Blog. General module settings for OpenCart allow:

1. Enable/Disable Auto-Check Comments
2. Specify time format for comments
3. Specify article time format
4. Specify the width/height of the article image in the category
5. Specify the width/height of the article image in the block
6. Specify the width/height of the product image in the block
7. Specify category image width/height
8. Specify author image width/height

Be sure to save your changes after making changes. An example of settings is shown in Figure 1.

All the modules that are included in the blog are output via schemas. In order to use the schema, it must be created. To do this, go to the Design/Schemes section. On the add form:

• In the Store field, enter “Default”
• in the path field - blog/%
• next, you need to add all the modules, the settings of which are described below, to this schema

An example of setting up a scheme is shown in Figure 2.

2. Category menu customization

In order to go to the category block settings, go to the Modules/NeoSeo Blog Category section. An example of settings is shown in Figure 3. In the module settings, you can:

1. Set module status (enabled/disabled)
2. Indicate a multilingual block title
3. Select the root category to display in the block. If not specified, then all root categories will be displayed in the block.
4. Select a template. One template is currently supported. But with the knowledge, you can create your own unique template.

The module is displayed on the showcase through the previously created scheme for the blog.

3. Customizing the comment block

In order to go to the comment block settings, go to the Modules/NeoSeo Blog Comments section. An example of settings is shown in Figure 4. In the module settings, you can:

1. Set module status (enabled/disabled)
2. Indicate a multilingual block title
3. Type (recent or popular comments)
4. Select a category to display comments from
5. Select a template. One template is currently supported. But with the knowledge, you can create your own unique template.
6. Set review limit on withdrawal
7. Specify Image Width/Height

The showcase module is displayed on any page of the site through schemes.

4. Setting up the search block

In order to go to the search block settings, go to the Modules/NeoSeo Blog Search section. An example of settings is shown in Figure 5. In the module settings, you can:

1. Set module status (enabled/disabled)
2. Indicate a multilingual block title
3. Specify search root
4. Select a template. One template is currently supported. But with the knowledge, you can create your own unique template.

The module is displayed on the showcase through the previously created scheme for the blog.

5. Setting up a block of related products

In order to go to the related products block settings, go to the Modules/NeoSeo Blog Related Products section. An example of settings is shown in Figure 6. In the module settings, you can:

1. Set module status (enabled/disabled)
2. Indicate a multilingual block title
3. Select display type (column or grid)
4. Select template.
5. Set review limit on withdrawal
6. Specify Image Width/Height

The module is displayed on the showcase through the previously created scheme for the blog.

6. Setting up an article block

In order to go to the article block settings, go to the Modules/NeoSeo Blog Articles section. An example of settings is shown in Figure 7. In the module settings, you can:

1. Set module status (enabled/disabled)
2. Indicate a multilingual block title
3. Type (recent or popular comments, selected, featured)
4. Select a category from which to display articles. If not selected, all categories will be considered.
5. Select template.
6. Set review limit on withdrawal
7. Specify Image Width/Height

The showcase module is displayed on any page of the site through schemes.
